Introduction

We value your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines the Company's practices with respect to information collected from users who access this Site or otherwise share information with us. We encourage users to carefully read this Privacy Policy and use it to make informed decisions.

As a general policy, we use your information and data for internal purposes only. We will not sell or rent information about you. We will not disclose personal information or data to third parties without your consent, except as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

By using this Site, you consent to the collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your information as described below.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, or to individuals whom we do not employ or manage, including any third party to which we may disclose information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

The Company may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time, and users should periodically revisit the policy for any updates. Users who continue to interact with the Site following a revision of this Privacy Policy will automatically be subject to the new terms.

Why We Collect Information
We collect information for a variety of reasons, including providing products and services, collecting payment for goods and services, ensuring that the Site works as intended, monitoring usage, understanding how our services are used, monitoring and protecting the security of our services and your information, ensuring compliance with our Terms & Conditions, detecting spam and other forms of invalid use of our service, and improving the service you receive.

What Information We Collect
We collect two types of data and information from users. The first type of information is un-identified and non-identifiable information pertaining to a user, which may be made available or gathered via your use of the Site (“non-personal Information”). We are not aware of the identity of a user from which non-personal Information is collected. Non-personal Information may include your aggregated usage information and technical information transmitted by your device, including certain software and hardware information (e.g., the type of browser and operating system your device uses, language preference, access time, etc.) in order to enhance the functionality of our Site. We may also collect information on your activity on the Site (e.g., pages viewed, online browsing, clicks, actions, etc.).

The second type of information is personal information, which is individually identifiable information pertaining to a user. This Site may collect and maintain personal information provided by its users, including their names, addresses, mobile telephone numbers, email addresses, internet service providers, IP addresses, financial information, and other information relating to Site usage. The amount of personal information a user provides is voluntary; however, providing less information might limit a user’s ability to access all of the Site’s features.

How We Use the Information We Collect
If you order products from us through this Site, we request personal information from you. To buy from us, and for us to fill your order, you must provide contact information (e.g., name, email address, phone number and shipping address) and financial information (e.g., credit card number, expiration date). We also use personal information for customer support services, including dealing with returns, cancellations, billing and payment issues, and responding to requests for information. We may also use such information to assess customer satisfaction and make periodic general announcements to users, such as notifications and updates about offerings, new recipes, the Company or the Site. We note with respect to customers’ credit card information that the Company itself does not maintain that information; instead, that information is received and maintained by the financial institution that processes our transactions.

Sharing Information with Third-Party Service Providers
We partner with certain third parties to provide specific services, and we must share user information with those third-party service providers. For example, if users order products from our Site, we must provide those users’ personal data to the outside shipping company that delivers our products, and to the financial institution that processes users' credit card payments. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for purposes beyond filling your order.

In addition, the Company may need to share user data with third-party service providers engaged to assist in connection with such matters as website maintenance, upgrades, new releases, data compilation or data analytics review.

Sharing Information with Other Third Parties
We must be permitted to share user data with our affiliated entities. Furthermore, if we participate in a merger, stock purchase, asset purchase, or other acquisition, it will be necessary to share user information with the purchaser or surviving entity. We may also disclose user information in order to comply with any court orders or applicable laws, or to enforce our Terms & Conditions. We may therefore disclose
personal information, usage data, message data, and other information about you if we deem that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process (such as a subpoena or court order), or enforceable governmental request; (b) cooperate with law enforcement agencies in case we find it necessary to enforce intellectual property or other legal rights; (c) enforce our Terms & Conditions, including investigation of potential violations; (d) detect, prevent, or otherwise
address fraud, security or technical issues; and (e) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of the Company, its users or the public, as required or permitted by law.

Cookies
We use cookies and other technologies in our related services, including when you visit our Site or access our services.

A "cookie" is a small piece of information that a website assigns to your device while you are viewing a website. Cookies are very helpful and can be used for various purposes, including allowing you to navigate between pages efficiently, enabling automatic activation of certain features, remembering your preferences, and making the interaction between you and our Site quicker and easier.

This Site Uses the Following Types of Cookies:

 a. “session cookies,” which are stored temporarily during a browsing session in order to allow normal use of the system, and are deleted from your device when the browser is closed;

b. “persistent cookies,” which are read only by the Site, are saved on your computer for a fixed period, and are not deleted when the browser is closed. Such cookies are used where we need to know who you are for repeat visits, for example, to allow us to store your preferences for the next sign-in;

c. “third-party cookies,” which are set by other online services that run content on the page you are viewing, for example by third party analytics companies who monitor and analyze our web access.

Cookies do not contain information that personally identifies you, but personal information that we store about you may be linked to the information stored in and obtained from cookies.

You may remove cookies by following the instructions of your device preferences. However, if you choose to disable cookies, some features of our Site may not operate properly and your online experience may be limited. For more information about cookies, their uses, benefits, and how to disable them, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.

We also use Google Analytics to collect information about your use of the Site.  Google Analytics collects information such as how often users access the Site, and what pages they visit when they do. We use this type of information to improve our Site and services. Google Analytics collects the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit sites, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this Site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy.  To learn more, visit “How Google Uses Data when you use our partner sites or apps.” Users may opt out of Google’s use of cookies by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browsers Add-on.

We use video services (e.g., Vimeo) and we may use social media services (e.g., Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter), which store their own third-party cookies.

Security
The Company will use necessary measures to protect the security of user data. Whenever a user provides sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted in a secure way.  Specifically, when credit card information is transmitted online, we use industry standard security measures called SSL (secure socket layer encryption).  You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in
the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page. While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline by limiting access to employees who need information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service).

Despite these efforts, no method of transmission or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that the Site will be immune from malicious attack or compromise. Accordingly, users should understand that the transmission of their personal data is always at their own risk.

Protecting Children’s Privacy
This Site is intended for a general audience and is not intended for, or directed at, individuals under the age of 13.  If you are under the age of 13, do not provide us with information of any kind whatsoever.  If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with personal information without their consent, they should contact us at Dean@BaguetteBakingBox.com and we will remove that information from our files.
Identifying, Updating or Correcting User Information
You have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you'd like us to delete or modify your transaction information for any reason, let us know through the contact page or by phone or email at the address below.

Retention of Personal Information
We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, and to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. Retention periods will be determined taking into account the type of information that is collected and the purpose for which it is collected, bearing in mind the requirements applicable to the situation and the need to destroy outdated or unused
information at the earliest reasonable time.
