Shipping 
While we do stock a certain amount of inventory, we generally make our Baguette Baking Boxes in response to customer orders.  So if you order a box from us, it’s quite possible your box will be made especially for you.  The majority of our orders ship within 10-15 business days of our receipt of a customer’s order, but if we are very busy (for example, around the holidays), we might need some extra time.  If we will be unable to ship your order within 15 business days, we will notify you of the delay.  However, we will not be liable for any consequential or other damages resulting from shipment delay. 
 
If you wish to purchase a Baguette Baking Box for a time-sensitive occasion (say, a wedding or birthday) and you want to make sure it will arrive in time, please contact us before placing your order to make sure we can accommodate your specific timing needs.  
 
PLEASE NOTE: The shipping time stated above does not include delivery time.  Our sales price includes free FedEx Ground shipping within the continental United States.  Based on our experience, after a product leaves our hands, FedEx Ground delivery typically takes 2-5 days, depending on your location.  If timing is essential, we recommend that you plan for at least some extra delivery time when you place your order.    

We do not currently ship outside the continental United States, although we hope to do so in the future.  If you live outside the continental U.S. and you are interested in purchasing a Baguette Baking Box, please email us to let us know of your interest.  Depending on where you live, it might be possible to make special arrangements.  

If a package is not delivered due to an error made by the customer in submitting the proper shipping address, we will reship the returned package with a corrected address.  However, we will have to charge for shipping the second package.   
 
If our Shop page or our Shopping Cart page indicates that we are out of stock, it's because we are temporarily unable to keep up with demand.  That situation can change on a daily basis, however, so please check back frequently. We want your business!  
 
Order Cancellations 
You may cancel your order before it has shipped by emailing us at Dean@BaguetteBakingBox.com.  We will refund your payment to the same credit card used to make the purchase.    

Returns and Refunds  
While we are hard-pressed to understand why a customer would want to return a Baguette Baking Box that is not damaged or defective, we will accept a return and we will issue a refund for undamaged, non-defective merchandise under the following terms and conditions:   
 
1) Neither the Baguette Baking Box nor the other components have been used. 

2) All merchandise is returned to us in its original packaging (including the internal protective corrugated cardboard pieces), in the same condition as when it was received, with all original contents enclosed. 

3) The customer initiates the return process within 7 calendar days of delivery by emailing Dean@BaguetteBakingBox.com to request a Return Merchandise Authorization number (“RMA #”). The customer’s full name must appear in that email. NOTE: If the Baguette Baking Box was a gift and the person making the return is not the person who purchased the box, the email requesting an RMA# must also include the full name of the person who purchased the box. 
 
4) The customer pays for return shipping, and undertakes the risk of loss or other non-delivery to us, as well as the risk of damage during return shipping. We therefore recommend that the customer obtain a tracking number and purchase insurance from the shipper against loss or damage. 

5) Returns should be shipped to the address below, and must include the RMA# on the outside of the package, as well as on any enclosed paperwork:

6) The merchandise must be received by us within 10 calendar days after we issue the RMA#.  After 10 calendar days, the RMA# expires.  Once the RMA# has expired, we will not accept the return, and we will direct the shipper to send the merchandise back to you.   

7) When we receive a return, we will promptly examine the package for completeness and for signs that the merchandise has been used or damaged.  If the merchandise has been used or damaged, we will not issue a refund, nor will we pay to re-ship the merchandise to you.   

8) If the package is complete and there are no signs of use or damage, we will refund the purchase price to the same credit card used to make the purchase.  We will not refund any amount paid at checkout for requiring a signature upon delivery, as that amount goes to our shipper, not to us. Although it takes us time to process a refund and to prepare a returned item for delivery to another customer, we do not charge any restocking fee.  

Defective Merchandise 
We take great care in hand-crafting our Baguette Baking Boxes (as well as the accompanying baguette trays and flat plates), and we examine each piece before we ship it to ensure that it is not defective (i.e., it is free of dents, loose rivets, significant scratches, and other problems that might interfere with function or durability).  As explained in our description of “How the Box is Made,” you can expect to see lines or 
marks from the bending or grinding process, and patterns, shading or other variations created during the polishing process.  These marks and patterns are normal.  They are not defects, but instead reflect the uniqueness and artisanal quality of each individual box.  We trust that our customers purchase our boxes with a full understanding of, and appreciation for, these qualities. 

That said, we aren’t perfect.  If you receive a Baguette Baking Box and believe that the box or one of the other components is defective, please contact us within 7 calendar days of delivery by email at Dean@BaguetteBakingBox.com. Please include your full name and an explanation of the perceived defect, and if possible attach a photograph.   

If one of our products is indeed defective, we will issue you a Returned Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#) and pay for you to return the defective merchandise to us.  Upon receipt of the defective merchandise, we will replace it at no cost to you, or else issue a full refund.   

Merchandise Damaged During Shipping 
If our merchandise is damaged during shipping to you, DO NOT DISCARD ANY PACKAGING, AND NOTIFY US OF THE DAMAGE WITHIN 72 HOURS OF DELIVERY by email at Dean@BaguetteBakingBox.com. Please include your full name and an explanation of the damages, and attach photographs of the damaged merchandise, as well as any damages to the outside and/or internal packaging. (We need these photographs to make a claim against our shipper).   

We will issue you a Returned Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#) and pay for you to return the damaged merchandise and packaging to us.  Upon return of the damaged merchandise and packaging, we will replace the product at no cost to you, or else issue a full refund.
